The "short" version of my review is this: over the last 20 years I have had somewhere close to 400 acupuncture treatments from many different acupuncturists. I've also been to 5 different community acupuncture businesses. Only one or two times in those years, did I leave a session feeling as good as I have in half of my appointments (9 total) with Anna so far. I joked with a friend that the needles must be soaked in happy juice. I think Anna is excellent. If your situation is chronic, then I will say that you have to do your part as well. What follows are my notes from my first session and my fourth session.

Session 1. I hesitate to talk about this because I'm not sure what happened. I cried a lot. I did not want to leave the table. The treatment was more of a mental or emotional discharge of stuff and I am grateful for whatever it was. As poetic as it may sound, it felt like I was on cloud 9. The time went by very fast. I dozed off a little. I walked out DANG happy and this was one crazy experience.

Session 4. The flu-like symptoms (stomach, headache, chills) are gone; however, today I don't have much energy. I haven't slept well the last few nights. I tell Anna that I am wiped out, feel bloated after eating, and then I decide to throw in a very old baseball/racquetball injury - my right shoulder hurts. The needles go in and 90-minutes later... I'm not tired at all. I feel dang happy again and I am very energized. I got into the car and raised my right hand over my head, elbow bent, and I pushed my elbow back a little to find the pain. It's not there. I don't want to jump to conclusions but I'm starting to think we better clone Anna.

I have notes from my first 9 sessions. The sessions definitely helped. I think if your situation is acute, Anna probably will help it quickly. IMHO Chronic situations require effort and lifestyle changes, otherwise the sessions just help you dog paddle (stay afloat but don't improve much).

Bottom line is that I think Anna is very helpful.
